in class there always exist that one person who feels the need to inform everyone of their opinions very often; to the point that the others who are patiently and respectfully raising their hands don't get the chance to give their insight to the discussion. i have noticed that these people generally sit in the front of the class: i don't know why, i haven't asked them. however, i have hypothesized that it may be so that this person can have an excuse for ignoring the hands raised behind him/her, also it may be so that it is easier to focus on them. this could be a little cruel, but i'm a bit fed up with it.
sometimes it worse when there are more than one type of person in the room because they occasionally get into arguments that publicly last for the entire class period.
thank goodness for professors who ignore these people allowing for a sigh of relief for the rest of the class and perhaps a laugh: especially when he obviously ignores this person by looking directly at the raised hand of the frequent rambler and then looking around the room for someone else. once, a professor told a student that he didn't want to hear from her for the rest of the class. that was awesome.
word of the day: multitask.
now why is it that "multitask" is a verb but "task" isn't.
por ejemplo:
- I have been forced to become an expert at multitasking, thankfully, i'm a woman, so i'm better at it.
- I'm tasking something right now, please return later so i can help you.
quotes of the day:
"i love ibuprofen." - liesel
"me too. he's my best friend." - wistie
"wait. what does that make me?" - liesel
"um... well... ok, here's the truth, i just use him for my selfish desires and drop him until i need him again." - wistie
"ok, that makes me feel better." - liesel
"the yellow paper is more accexible." -sarah (sound it out, i am still laughing at this, hours later.)
"this wasn't on purpose, but i have a two year old." - some girl in my class
